Living in Harmony (California, that is)

Made my way down the Pacific Coast Highway this past week. An amazing countryside; a raw and powerful coast. Leigh and I enjoyed the trip but will return in the fall, hopefully to do the trek again, at a different pace with longer stops in San Fran, Big Sur and several smaller nooks and crannies along the way. Possibly tie in Oregon with such a visit? Oh, I can dream.

Priceless moment for us on this trip: seeing blue whales traveling north. Awesome.

The pix shown here is just one from our California travels, of a funk-ily awesome spot called Harmony, California. Population: 24. It's a former dairy town, once bustling with customers like Hearst (who would stop there for milk and cheese on his way home to his ranch/I mean castle). Now Harmony is a small arts center, hidden between Cambria and Santa Barbara. Once again, I thank Peggy for the tip, and for an opportunity to stop and meander in Americana found off the beaten path.
The World is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page. ~St. Augustine

Monica, I am so touched that you listen to me and take my advice...but unfortunately we never made it to Harmony on OUR trip...I am glad you did, though, and can't wait to see more pics.
